Exploring Zhuhai attractions are a lovely way to spend the day away from Macau. They are only a few minutes away by public transportation, situated on the border between Macau and the Guangdong province of China.

The New Summer Palace is one of the most popular tourist destinations in town. This marvellous temple is located at the base of the Shilin Mountain and is surrounded by mountains on several sides. The palace is a living example of a classic royal palace from the Qing Dynasty, filled with elegant and intricate details that take you back in time.

The Meixi Memorial Archways are another top historical attraction, featuring three archways that resemble a fusion of classic European arches and Chinese pavilions. They were built as mandated by the Guangxu, an Emperor of China who served from 1875 through 1908.

Zhuhai attractions include the Jintai Temple, an ancient Chinese temple atop emerald green hills. The temple’s Great Hall houses a Buddha statue and an antique room.

The Jintai Temple was built by Zhao Shicong, an official during the Song Dynasty from 960-1279 though it was expanded during the Qing Dynasty. It’s still widely used today for numerous charity events.

Not to be missed while here is the Zhuhai Museum and Planning Exhibition Hall, which houses an incredible collection of over 15,000 relics from the late Neolithic era. Here, you can learn about the city’s history and dependence on the ocean for its economy.

Unwind at Seaside Park, a tranquil destination where you can enjoy the scenery amongst the landscaped gardens. Other notable attractions include Wai Lingding Island and the Shijing Mountains.
