All over the park, there are well-maintained flower beds with colourful plants all year round. The park has a zigzag path, and from various points around the park, you can enjoy fantastic views of the lake, museum, church, and even the Cotai Strip in the distance.
If you happen to be here in June, visit the Carmo Garden, where you can see lotus flowers in bloom. At other times of the year, especially during Chinese New Year, the park comes alive with the addition of festive decorations. Additionally, there are some basic amenities around here, including toilets, but overall, it is a lovely space if you want to immerse in peace and quiet. There is also a small area where you can do some outdoor exercises.
While here, you can also visit the famous Our Lady of Carmel Church, which was built in 1885. Visitors can take in the views of the sea from here. The church is designed with neoclassical architecture, and its yellow-coloured walls resemble many of Macau’s historic buildings.
There are other popular tourist attractions nearby, including the Garden of Flower City, Villa da Taipa, and the Miradouro da Colina da Taipa Grande.
These and more await you when you visit the Carmo Garden.
