The Dr Carlos d Assumpcao Park (Jardim Dr Carlos d’Assumpção) is a picturesque seaside park in Se, Macau.

Located along the avenue of the same name, this is one of the most beautiful recreational destinations in the area.

This park has many elements that are designed to pique the interest of visitors of all ages. It’s home to two large gardens: one is the Dr. Carlos Assumpcao Garden, and the other is the Ho Yin Garden. Each of them have unique styles but are both designed with Portuguese elements in mind, complementing the rest of the park features. There is also a musical fountain shaped like a fish, located in the southern area, with 70 nozzles. Visitors are welcome to go to the platform, where you can listen to nature sounds from the fountain.

The Dr Carlos d Assumpcao Park also features a Kun Iam Statue by the sea. This is also where the Kun Iam Ecumenical Centre is located, with two floors housing a small auditorium, multipurpose room, souvenir room, and an outer platform where you can enjoy sea views. Additionally, the park has a small playground for children, some exercise equipment, and a walkway. It’s not as busy as other parks in Macau, so it’s ideal for quiet time.

Afterwards, you can visit the Macao Cultural Centre, which is nearby. It was built in 1999 and is an excellent representation of the modern spaces in the country, providing a world-class venue for cultural performances. The grand auditorium accommodates over 1,000 people, while a smaller room accommodates 400. It also houses the Macao Museum of Art, where you can discover some contemporary pieces and classic exhibits by national and international artists.
