Macao Grand Prix Museum

English: Macao Grand Prix Museum, Portuguese: Museu do Grande Prémio de Macau, Traditional: 澳门大赛车博物馆, Simplified: 澳門大賽車博物館

The Grand Prix Museum is one of the most thrilling attractions in Macau for racing and car enthusiasts.

This remodelled museum was reopened in 2021, and it now has four floors covering a total area of 16,000 square meters full of exciting displays that tell you about the most famous race event in the country.

There is something unique to discover on each museum floor. On the basement, it’s a themed display of the Guia Race and the Macao GT Cup; it features a screening room plus an amazing Race Day Experience.

On the ground floor is the entrance, with displays dedicated to the Guia Circuit and the Pit Pass Registration. It also houses the museum gift shop where you can browse and shop for souvenirs.

Meanwhile, the first floor is dedicated to the early years of the Grand Prix. Learn all about its history and the significant events that have happened. Then, on the second floor, you can learn about the Motorcycle Deconstructed display and experience the MotoVR Race Experience.

The Grand Prix Museum offers guided tour services available for educational institutions, schools, and non-profit organisations, though these should be reserved in advance. The public can also benefit from free daily tours, which are a great way to make the most out of your visit through the information knowledgeable tour guides share. Remember that the public tours are on a first-come, first-served basis, so visiting early is always ideal.

Tours are conducted in English, Portuguese, Cantonese, and Mandarin. The museum is open every day except Tuesdays, from 10am to 6pm with the last admissions let in at 5:30pm. They also close on national holidays.
