The Light Up Macao Drone Gala is an exciting annual event in the tourism calendar.

This unique event is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to watch in amazement as state-of-the-art drones orchestrate magnificent 2D and 3D displays in the night sky.

Using the lights of the drones is a symbol of Macau’s prosperity. Several teams from around China compete in this dazzling display of technology, talent, and light above the tranquil Nam Van Lake. The event dates, and themes change each year, but it always takes place over several evenings accompanied by music by the lake. Each drone performance lasts around 15 minutes.

The Macao Government Tourism Office invites many local businesses and establishments to participate in yearly festivities. Other participating organizers include the Municipal Affairs Bureau, Transport Bureau, Sports Bureau, and the Civil Aviation Authority, as well as others.
