St Dominics Square

St Dominic’s Square (Largo de Sao Domingos) is a historic public square at the end of Senado Square.

This is where you can find a beautiful Catholic church called St. Dominic’s Church and many boutiques selling an array of fashion goods.

The square has been designed utilising a fusion of Chinese and Portuguese colonial architecture. However, St. Dominic’s Church is a major highlight here; it’s one of the 29 heritage destinations that are part of Macau’s Historic Centre and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was built in the late 16th century and houses a sacred art museum with several religious art relics.

After visiting the church, you can check out the vibrant arcades alongside it that add to the character and action of this lovely piazza. Tourists enjoy photographing by the church, but the best time is in the early morning when it’s less crowded.
