There are many charming coffee shops and boutiques around this area, as well as tourist attractions. The Macao Central Library can be found here; it was established in 1895 as the National Library of Macau. The 1,371 square meter large library has two stories and almost 100,000 volumes to explore. It can comfortably accommodate 271 people.

The nearby Estoril Swimming Pool is one of the oldest swimming pools in the country, and it has numerous facilities for the youth.

When visiting Tap Seac Square, it’s common to see elderly locals practising Tai Chi, especially in the early morning. Families also use this site to play badminton outdoors; people commonly walk their dogs here.

From the square, you can visit many popular and well-loved heritage and tourist sites. It’s just a 10-minute walk to Senado Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This lovely destination is perfect for shopping, people-watching, and strolling the streets as you sample local delicacies or browse the boutiques.

Young travellers will have a great time visiting the nearby St. Lazarus neighbourhood, renowned for its youthful and modern vibes amongst the cobblestone streets and colonial buildings. There are many shops and restaurants to discover, including tattoo parlours and vintage shops. Since vehicles are not allowed in this area, St. Lazarus is a fantastic place for children to run around safely or take their bikes.

Sightseeing, heritage, culture, food, and so much more await you when you visit this part of Macau.
