The Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo is a yearly multi-day event that brings together various businesses and players in the tourism industries of Macau, Taiwan, and Mainland China.

Also known as the MITE, this expo is a significant gathering of regional and national groups, including travel agencies and other tourism companies.

Each year, the boards decide on a theme to align the focus of discussions and forums. With a shared goal of everyone helping all regional neighbours boost tourism and discuss challenges, there is always a fascinating set of talks and workshops to attend. A growing number of exhibitors annually participate both online and offline.

Every Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo guarantees a fantastic time for meeting big and small players from all over the continent and beyond. Hundreds of trade visitors and buyers attend to look for great travel deals as well.

The expo takes place at The Venetian Macao, home to Macau’s biggest conference and event facilities. While the dates change each year, they usually occur around June or July, starting at 10am and ending at 6pm on event days.

In addition to tourism, players in health, education, and information technology attend. After all, these industries must work together for everyone’s mutual benefit.

The event is organised by the Macao Government Tourism Office and supported by several groups, including the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People’s Republic of China, The Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China in Macao Special Administrative Region, and the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao S.A.R.
