The Arch of the Orient is a simple but unique landmark in Macau.
It’s a large sculpture that is usually passed on the way to the primary ferry terminal, standing 35 meters in height at the Avenue do Dr. Rodringo Rodriques.

The area beneath and around the Arch of the Orient tends to be busy with traffic, so tourists shouldn’t enter it. Regardless, it’s worth seeing for a few minutes if you are in the area.
The surroundings also have a lot to offer while sightseeing; check out the Macao Grand Prix Museum, which is just a few blocks away and a popular tourist attraction. It was established in 1993 and is a must-visit for racing enthusiasts, featuring interactive and educational displays suitable for all ages. The best time to visit the museum is during the Grand Prix weekend, though it’s always recommended any other time of the year.
Another attraction nearby is the Macau Fisherman’s Wharf, a large complex that houses an entertainment centre, hotel, waterfront area, convention and meeting facilities, shops, and restaurants. With over 70 merchants around the complex, there’s lots to see and do for the entire family.
The Arch of the Orient and its surrounding attractions are perfect for exploring this side of Macau for the day.
