The Art Exhibition Pavilion for The Youth (Building of the Former Caixa Escolar) is a beautiful heritage building at the Tap Seac Square in Macau.

It was built in 1925 and showcases the eclectic architecture that was on trend at the beginning of the 20^th century.

What makes this building so special is that it’s one of the few remaining examples of neo-classical and Art Deco architecture in Macau. Aside from that, it also possesses numerous elements and decorative art. It has become a premier venue for art shows and other youth-oriented art and culture events. There are also interesting exhibits that take place regularly, especially on holidays.

The Art Exhibition Pavilion for The Youth, also known as the Pavilion of Exhibitions and Artistic Shows for Young People, has two floors and a total area of 275 square meters. The ground floor exhibit room is used for smaller exhibits, while the Art Showroom on the first floor is used for modest-sized performances. The facilities provided here are versatile to cater to events of various purposes.

Afterwards, you can sightsee the rest of the landmarks in Tap Seac Square. As the biggest public square in the country, it’s home to many heritage buildings. It also comes alive with themed decorations and performances during special events and holidays, notably the Macau Grand Prix, Mid-Autumn Festival, and Chinese New Year.
