Hac Sa Reservoir Fitness Walk, Hiking Trail, Length, Map, Macau

The walk, around 1,500 meters long, opened to the public in 1998. Today, it’s one of the most well-loved hiking trails in the country. The walk starts and finishes near the vegetation, though the trail will take you through 9 fitness stations. Thanks to a flat and paved surface, it’s easy to do even for the middle-aged and those with children. Those who are of better fitness levels can also jog on the trail. It takes just 30-45 minutes or so to complete, but you can also take your time to appreciate the views.

The Hac Sa Reservoir Fitness Walk takes you around the emerald reservoir, and there are shaded areas where you can also stop for a break and hydrate. Visitors keen to explore more of the beautiful nature trails in Coloane will be delighted with the sheer abundance of these activities. The Coloane Fitness Walk is ideal for jogging, running, or walking and is 1.225km long. It begins at the Intersection of Estrada do Alto de Coloane.

If you are looking for a more challenging trail, the Coloane Trail is recommended. Macau’s first and longest trail, 8.1 kilometres long, takes you around the mountain’s base 100 meters above sea level. The route is well-established and marked, so there are no worries of getting lost. The path can be rough and dirty, but it is still a runner’s favourite trail.

The Hac Sa Reservoir Fitness Walk and other loops in the area are great ways to stay fit.
