It was built way back in 1870, initially as a private club exclusively catering to army officers.

It’s considered a luxurious dining experience, as they offer a range of gastronomic delights. Celebrity chefs from Portugal are invited to cook up some delicacies twice a year. Their signature dishes include duck rice, South African Chicken, Leitao (suckling pig), and Bacalhau, though they have many more excellent dishes and buffets worth trying.
The Macau Military Club also has a great range of wines. Most are Portuguese, including white, red, fortified, and sparkling wines. The wine selection has been curated so that they intend to showcase a wide array of Portuguese wines, with famous varieties including Alentejo and the Douro.
This has also become an entertainment and social venue of choice for events, so it’s not uncommon for private gatherings to be held here because of its beautiful and elegant colonial design.
If you are interested in sampling their fine dining experience, reservations are ideal, especially for weekends and on-dinner service. The attire is smart casual, and men are required to wear long pants. In addition, they have memberships so it’s only after 1:30pm that non-members are open to dine here.
This is a restaurant that discerning gourmands should try when visiting Macau.
