The history of the legendary wax museums began over 200 years ago. In 1794, Marie Grosholtz inherited Dr. Philippe Curtius’s wax exhibit after the French Revolution ended. The following year, she married Francois Tussaud, and in the following decade, she began touring the wax displays in the British Isles. Marie’s grandsons continued her legacy long after her death, bringing her exhibits around Europe and North America.

Madame Tussauds Hong Kong has several galleries where wax models look incredibly like the real thing. Of course, there are iconic superstars, including Angelina Jolie, Benedict Cumberbatch, Johnny Depp, Kendall Jenner, and Robert Pattinson.

Asian celebrities are also highlighted; these include Kim Woo-bin, Huang Xiaoming, and Louis Koo. It also features an illustrated wax figure here, the world’s first; Yayoi Kusama, and many others. From music icons to celebrities and renowned artists, a trip to the museum will be unlike any other you’ve ever had.

Visitors only need around an hour to complete the museum tour. You can also touch the wax figures and get up close and personal with them for your photo ops.

For groups of at least 20 people, you may opt for a special Behind the Scenes Tour. In addition, it’s also good to note that the tours are available in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.

Before you head out, drop by the souvenir shop where you can look for unique souvenirs for your loved ones back home.
