This is a great way to travel from Tung Chung to Ngong Ping. Each journey takes just 25 minutes, and each cable car is made with clear glass from the windows to its floors. Because of this, you get the unique experience of seeing everything outside you with unobstructed views. The cable car system is operated by the Hong Kong MTR Corporation, which also oversees the rail system of the city.

There are 112 cabins, each of which has been designed with safe and modern amenities for accommodating ten guests seated down and seven standing up.

The iconic sights you can see here include the Big Buddha and even the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. Once you get off the Ngong Ping 360, you arrive at the beautiful village full of traditional Chinese culture.

Walk around leisurely as you sample local snacks, stop at many attractions, and shop for unique souvenirs and gifts.

It’s also a great way to get to the Big Buddha, which is only a few minutes from the drop-off point. However, those interested in getting to the top of Big Buddha should ideally be moderately fit since it requires climbing 268 steps to get to the top. The hike is worth it because you’ll enjoy even more views from the top of the 34-meter-high statue. You will be rewarded with views of the lush mountains and its gorgeous terrain.

The Ngong Ping 360 is something you should try at least once.
