During the summer, the gardens come alive with the blooming of the miracle bush, luncheon flower, and red acacia in the garden’s heart. Some cannons found here date back to the Portuguese colonial era, as they were used to help defend Taipa.
Quay Garden has paved walkways underneath the plant and flower canopies, which add to its relaxing feel. It’s located near the Governor Albano de Oliveira Road, close to numerous other destinations you can visit within the same day. One of these is the Flower City Garden, a popular space for nature and recreation in the heart of Taipa’s commercial district. This is where you can find a modern interpretation of traditional Chinese gardens, complete with tranquil lotus ponds, pavilions, and winding bridges.
Kids love to frequent the Flower City Garden because it has so many elements that are perfect for a day of fun and play. These include a playground, a scooter area, a skating zone, and a small zoo.
Aside from these, you can also visit the Taipa Central Park, the Historical Museum of Coloane and Taipa, the Taipa Houses Museum, and so much more.
Quay Garden and these lovely attractions await you when you visit Taipa.
