The roundabout links four roads: the Av. Wai Long, Estr. Do Istmo, Estr. da Baia de Nossa Senhora da Esperanca, and Estr. Gov. Nobre de Carvalho. There are several tourist landmarks by the roundabout, as well as many important buildings and services in the area.

Along Av. Wai Long is where the University Hospital, the Macao University of Science and Technology (MUST), and the MUST Sport Field and Pavilion are located.

Meanwhile, on the Estr. Do Istmo’s side of the road, the Cotai strip, and renowned five-star hotels flank it. These include the Londoner Macao, Conrad, Sheraton Grand Macao, and the Four Seasons Hotel.

The Praia de Nossa Sra. Da Esperanca can also be found on another portion of the roundabout. Additionally, many popular shops can be found in this area: these include a Uniqlo branch, Monte Carlo Jewelry, Boutique V, Fabio Caviglia, and many more. For visitors who want to sightsee, this is a great landmark to base yourself on so that you can see more in a day.

Furthermore, historical landmarks shouldn’t be missed while in the vicinity. One is the Taipa Houses Museum, one of Macao’s top attractions. This is an excellent place to see Portuguese architecture for yourself. It features five homes built in 1921, serving as the home of civil servants and local families. By 2016, they were converted into a living museum by the Macao SAR Government so that visitors could learn valuable information by visiting the museums and galleries.

The Rotunda do Istmo is a great place to visit, and you can access numerous tourist attractions from one spot.
