From here, continue on the escalator to the overhead bridge. Walk towards the Estrada Governador Nobre De Carvalho overhead bridge until you reach the elevator lift door.
From the Taipa Grande Hill Inclined Lift, visitors can enjoy uninterrupted views of the hills located west of Taipa, the village beneath, the wetlands, and even the Cotai Strip far out into the distance. Since the lifts are part of a public transportation system, it’s free to use and are open to the public.
Come when the conditions are sunny and clear to get the best views. For those who prefer to exercise, you can also access it through the hillside trail beside the elevator.
Better yet, check out the Taipa Grande Trail. It’s around 4,000 meters and along the Taipa Grande Natural Park. There are some walk-friendly areas for those who want to take it easy, though no matter which way you go, you will be treated with rewarding views. If you want to challenge yourself, you can take the final stretch of the trail, which is Stairway to the Peak, some 159 meters above sea level.
The Taipa Grande Hill Inclined Lift is open daily from 6am to 8pm.
