The Tung Sin Tong Historical Archive Exhibition Hall is a great place to learn about the contributions of the Macau Tung Sin Tong Charitable Society, the oldest charity service in Macau.
It started in 1892, and since then, they have done numerous charity works, especially for public health and medicine.

The ground floor of the Tung Sin Tong Historical Archive Exhibition Hall was once the waiting area for the Chinese Medicine Clinic, though it’s now an exhibit hall. Meanwhile, the first floor used to be the offices for doctors, though it now serves as the Board of Directors meeting rooms. Last but not least, the second floor was historically used as a free classroom for students, and it’s now a gallery for articles on Tung Sin Tong.
There are several highlights, particularly the Confucius Shrine, Longevity Tablets, Porcelain Photo Display, Tung Sin Tong Tea Barrell, and the Huang Huai Sen Couplet. It’s one of the most unique historical attractions in Macau.
Travellers keen to learn more about various charitable groups in the country can also visit it through the Charitable Organisations Historic Walk, where you can tour other similar institutions.
Afterwards, you can visit the Pawn Shop Museum next door, which also has a lot of fascinating displays and artefacts.
