Given how quick and easy it is to get from Hong Kong to Macau, it’s not surprising that many do so for just a day sometimes. But even if you wish to stay longer, getting around is simple and hassle-free. The most popular way to arrive in Macau from Hong Kong is to take one of the high-speed ferry services. There are three ferry terminals in Hong Kong, offering boat rides that take you to different terminals in Macau.

Many travellers prefer to take the ferry that departs from the Shun Tak Center and arrives at the Macau Outer Border Ferry Terminal. Alternatively, visitors going from Hong Kong to Macau can also board ferries from the Hong Kong China Ferry Terminal located in Kowloon or the Hong Kong SkyPier in the Hong Kong International Airport. Cotai Water Jet and TurboJet are the primary ferry operators in all three piers, with departures available at different hours of the day for your convenience.

Visitors who want to enjoy ultra-fast transportation and don’t mind spending more may opt to take the helicopter service that plies this route. It’s rather pricey, costing around $3,000 HKD per passenger and per way, though the scenic ride is only 16 minutes long.
