Though there are a handful of other parks to explore in Macau, what makes this one special is that it possesses a high level of biodiversity because of its trees and plants. It’s home to one of the biggest tree populations here, including the oldest Chinese Red Pine trees, Camphor trees, and Lofty Fig. A major highlight here is the row of Lofty Fig trees located southwards of the Guia Recreation Square since it’s the biggest of its kind in the country.

Other fascinating trees that are found in the Guia Hill Municipal Park are the Chinese Banyan, Candlenut Tree, Mock Bodh Tree, Panicled Mallotus, Mountain Tallow Tree, and so many more. Because of the many types of trees here, visitors easily appreciate the vegetation and the shrubs, making it an idyllic place to get away for an hour or more. There are numerous options for recreation here, such as fitness trails, a kid’s playground, and adult fitness equipment.

Other facilities include a sports court, vending machine, small snack kiosk, storage lockers, public toilets, and a water dispenser. From here, you can walk to other historical sites. Not to be missed are the Guia Lighthouse, Guia Fortress, and the Chapel of Our Lady of Guia.

While visiting the area, you can take in the sweeping views of the outer islands and the urban districts of Macau beneath you. The panoramic sights are among the best here.
