A trip here wouldn’t be complete without spending time at the Macao Historic Centre. This destination provides a glimpse into its long and rich history, from ancient times to the era when it was under Portuguese occupation. The Historic Centre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, housing over 20 structures, including the famous A-Ma Temple, Senado Square, Ruins of St. Paul’s, and much more.

One of the best Macau day trips for those interested in nature and relaxing is travelling to Hac Sa Beach. Located in Coloane, Hac Sa Beach is the only beach in the country perfect for recharging or taking a break from city life and glitzy casinos. Even better, camping is another free activity you can do while here.

You can visit nearby points of interest from the beach, such as the Matsu Cultural Village or take a step in at the Long Chao Kok Coastal Trail.

The Dr. Sun Yat Sen Municipal Park is another excellent day trip destination. This park was once a landfill, but by 1983, it was converted into one of the most well-loved parks in Macau. Featuring Eastern and Western design elements, the sprawling park offers visitors lots to do, including a swimming pool, playground, library, and more.

Foodies can also explore Rua Do Cunho for the day; this famous street is renowned for offering the best mix of delicious and affordable street food.

With all the fantastic Macau day trips you can do, there’s always something new to discover.
