Spend some time strolling along the Historic Centre of Macau, a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with heritage buildings, religious structures, and public Chinese and Portuguese buildings.

It’s home to the oldest lighthouse in China and a fortress. All of these are a testament to China’s relationships with the West in its rich history.

Next, visit the 17th-century Ruins of St. Paul’s, a Catholic complex built in baroque style architecture. Its remains are well preserved despite suffering from a fire back in 1835.

Macau activities include touring several old temples, the most famous of which is the A-Ma Temple. It was established to pay tribute to Mazu, the sea goddess or deity of the fishermen; the temple is also the oldest in the country. Aside from being the oldest temple, it is also a special destination where visitors can soak up the incredible views or immerse in the silence.

Senado Square is not to be missed. It was widely used from the 16th to the 18th centuries and is today a lovely public square surrounded by many shops and eateries.

The Macau Tower Convention and Entertainment Centre provide the city’s best views. The skywalk and observation deck are sure to blow you away, and this is also where you can experience the thrill of a lifetime by bungee jumping.
